Simultaneous Board Games
Simultaneous Board Games are board games that can be played by up to 20 players at the same time. This makes them excellent for parties and group gatherings.
Normally board games involve one playing board and all players placing their playing piece on the START square. Players then take it in turns to roll a dice and move their playing piece the appropriate number of squares. This is fine when you have a small number of players. However once you have five or more players there is a large amount of "downtime" for each player as they wait for their turn to come round again.
PartyPDF's simultaneous board games overcome this by giving each player a unique playing board. This enables one player (the Party Host) to roll a dice and announce the number thrown. Then all players move their playing piece this number of squares on their playing board. Because all the boards are different, the effect of this movement will be different for each player. For instance in "Snakes, Ladders & Farmyard Animals", a roll of three may cause some playing pieces to land on the foot of a ladder. These pieces will clib the ladder and arrive at a new square. Other players may find the roll of three lands them on the head of a snake. Their playing piece will have to slide down the snake to arrive at a new square. And yet other players may find the roll of three lands them on a farmyard animal bonus square. By making the appropriate animal noise they can claim the bonus and move forwards a set number of squares.
This means that there will be no "downtime" at all for any players. This results in an exciting game in which all players are constantly involved leading to an entertaining and memorable boardgame party!
