Aim of the Game

To be the first player to land their 5 plinko coins onto the Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten of Hearts and therefore create a Royal Flush poker hand.

Full Details

Each player has a playing board showing a "Plinko Pyramid". The pyramid had 6 rows. Each row is either:

  • An odd/even row
  • A high/low row
  • A red/black row

Symbols in each square of a row show what category the square belongs to. E.g. in the odd/even rows a dice symbol showing one spot represents an "odd" square and a dice symbol showing two spots represents an "even" square.

Each player also has 5 coins. They place one of the coins on the START square at the top of the pyramid.

From a pack of cards the party host has selected the aces, twos, threes, fours, five, sixes, sevens and eights. They shuffle this pack of 32 cards then deal one face up. Suppose it is the two of hearts.

This card is red, it is even and it is low. The party host therefore announces "Red. Even. Low."

Players guide their coin through the first three rows of the plinko board according to these announced features. The party host then deals a second card and again announces the card's three features. The players guide their coin through the rest of the board according to these features. This will cause their coin to land on one of the following cards:

  • Joker
  • Ace of Hearts
  • King of Hearts
  • Queen of Hearts
  • Jack of Hearts
  • Ten of Hearts

If their coin lands on a joker then they can place their coin on their choice of ace, king, queen, jack or ten cards.

A second coin is now sent down the plinko board. If it lands on a card that already has a coin on it then the second coin is returned to the top of the plinko pyramid to be used again. If the second coin lands on a card that does not have a coin on it, it remain on the card.

Play is repeated. All players are trying to end up with a coin on each of the ace, king, queen. jack and ten cards. This first player to achieve this and shout out "Royal Flush" is the winner.
